Summary:
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) aligns talent and organizational plans with business priorities. Key areas of focus for the HRBP will include, support shaping the transformation and transition from current HR support model to a shared services model.
The role will play both a hands on tactical and strategic partner, working closely with the client managers to proactively identify talent and organizational needs, as well as collaborate with HR colleagues to develop integrated and pragmatic solutions. You will act as a change agent -- leading, brokering, and facilitating HR solutions for your assigned client area, as well as delivering value added services to managers, supervisors, and employees. You will work closely with the client, HR colleagues, and counterparts to consult and deliver on all talent matters, including being an advocate for our high-performance culture transformation, performance management, employee relations, compensation, leadership development, talent management, talent acquisition, leave management, culture, and engagement for the client.
Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:
- Establish and maintain deep understanding of assigned partner function(s) and the overall business; build credibility and trust with managers and drive change, embed, and sustain a high-performance culture
- Accurately diagnose organizational issues, develop solutions, and implement action plans at a local level
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations; provide advice, counsel, and coaching to managers
- Performs data analysis to proactively identify employee relations/organization effectiveness issues and partner with Employee Relations partner to recommend solutions
- Consults and Partners with COEs to support an HR Shared Services model, to drive change, improve organizational effectiveness, identify areas of development and implement people strategies.
- Support various HR processes for assigned partner functions including: performance management, merit and compensation planning, talent review and development actions, and partner with Manager, HRBP and functional leaders during these processes
- Establishes and maintains strong, positive, and trusting relationships with all levels of the organization and provides proactive consult to managers
- Work with client leadership to assess employee engagement and develop actions plans to ensure diverse, inclusive, and engaging workforce
- Works with the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence and hiring managers to source and build a diverse and high performing team
- In partnership the Talent & Org Development Centers of Excellence, deliver training for various levels and topics, including leadership development and performance management
- Support the day-to-day HR administrative work with the client, such as onboarding delivery, job description reviews, I-9 completions, and other various administrative support tasks
- Drive consistency in administering human resources policies and procedures to ensure positive employee experience and maintains in-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance as it relates to employment law, reducing risk

CAPABILITIES & SKILLS REQUIRED
To take on these challenges, you’ll need to have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Human Resources and/or Organizational Development
- Experience working in both small and larger organizations is preferred
- Experience working in an HR Shared Services model with Centers of Excellence preferred
- Strong functional capabilities with talent expertise; understanding and some experience in multiple areas of HR (e.g. talent acquisition; employee relations; performance management; leadership development; training)
- Driven by a strong internal desire to impact the organization; has a track record of success in delivering HR solutions that enable achievement of business strategies and priorities
- Ability to prioritize, problem-solve and translate concepts into action items
- Expertise in developing solutions and influencing others utilizing facts/data analytics
- Knowledge of federal and local employment laws from wage and hour, discrimination, to reasonable accommodations, etc.
- Must perform with a consultative style and approach with proven ability to foster credible relationships with business partners and to effectively influence them
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present their point of view in varied business situations
