SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive Human Resources function within the organization. This role involves leading HR programs and policies related to employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance, and staffing. The HRBP/Manager aligns these functions with the company’s strategic objectives, ensuring effective design, planning, and execution of HR initiatives. This position will have a home base of Macomb Township, MI.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff at all organizational levels.
- Design, propose, and manage HR programs and policies to ensure they are consistent with and supportive of company objectives.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance organizational, team, and individual performance.
- Provide guidance on employment-related issues and offer support for special projects.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Oversee initiatives related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), recruitment, training, compensation, and employee relations.
- Develop, update and implement wage and salary structures, pay policies, performance appraisal systems, employee benefits programs, and health and safety protocols.
- Work cross-functionally to tackle complex problems and manage ambiguity effectively.
- Lead the creation and execution of employee engagement strategies, performance management systems, and professional development programs to support Operational Excellence goals.
- Provide strong leadership to the management team, combining strategic insight with practical, hands-on support as needed.
- Support the recruitment process, including job description development, approvals, and additional areas as needed.
- Address employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and manage Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leaves.
- Ensure that HR programs and training initiatives support compliance and improve performance in areas, including safety and occupational health.
- Coordinate with Environmental Health and Safety Managers to manage the Workers Compensation Program.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources with a demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and work effectively with employees at all levels, including senior management.
- Prior management or leadership experience.
- Proven leadership skills in a cross-functional, team-based environment with strong communication, influencing, and motivational abilities.
- Expertise in HR principles and their strategic and tactical application.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build effective working relationships across departments.
- High level of ethical conduct and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must meet Export Control Compliance requirements; must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master of Business Administration or Human Resources.
- Experience with Dayforce.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to travel to other site locations during the workday and would primarily be local during the business day. However, some projects may require overnight stays as well as out-of-the-area travel paid for by the business.
WORKING CONDITIONS

- Must be able to remain in a stationary state for extended periods / 50% of the time at a computer workstation.
- Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- While performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, caustic chemicals, vibration, and moderate noise level.
- May be required to work overtime or weekends to meet department and business demands.
- Will be working in the manufacturing plant, and therefore must be able to wear the necessary personal protective gear (PPE) for most, if not all, of the working day provided for individuals by the business.

- Must be able to frequently walk and stand for short periods of time.
- Must be able to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

- Must be able to frequently walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs, occasionally lift and move objects up to 50lbs.
