Associate Veterinarian – northern Virginia
Modern, progressive hospital is looking for a veterinarian to provide medical and surgical workup of cases, including soft tissue and some orthopedic surgery. The practice features a full-service dental suite with digital dental x-ray, digital x-ray, and ultrasound.
This practice is generally a one-doctor practice; however, some days will be scheduled with two doctors. Practice appointment hours are Monday and Thursday 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with Sundays closed. After-hours emergencies are referred to local ER and specialty centers.
We are seeking a confident, independent veterinarian who enjoys building a clientele and possesses excellent client communication skills. The doctor will work four weekdays a week and two Saturdays per month.
Qualifications:
- DVM, VMD, or equivalent with VA state license
- Confident, independent worker
- Ability to work well with staff and team
- Good communication skills
- Basic veterinary surgical skills (spay, neuter, dentistry, soft tissue surgery)
This is not a role for someone who needs a great deal of mentoring. The practice offers health insurance, voluntary dental and vision, 401K, CE allowance, licensure and DEA fees, and 3 weeks of vacation. The clientele is suburban and well-educated.
