Get to Know Your Team: - Hillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. Responsibilities- Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of radiographic equipment and other devices as necessary.
- Obtain complete history and position patients using immobilization when necessary and explain the procedure to patients.
- Calculate appropriate exposure factors and evaluate images for diagnostic quality
- Assist Radiologists and other health care practitioners with invasive procedures
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the exam
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations and ensure patient/employee safety
- Evaluate images for technical quality, and exposure, and transmit to PACS
Qualifications Job Requirements:
- Technical or Associate's radiography degree
- Must be registered or registry eligible with the ARRT
- If registry eligible upon hire, you must become registered within one year of employment
- Active BLS certification
Preferred Job Requirements:
- One year of radiology experience
