We are looking for a mixed animal veterinarian in Franklin County, Texas who can work independently across multiple species.
This is a mixed animal practice in a smaller, warm and friendly community with a client base that appreciates your efforts. The practice has Cornerstone Practice Management, a new Idexx lab, new digital X-Ray, and is renovating the grooming and boarding facilities. We pride ourselves on being open and honest with clients about prognosis and cost. The position requires working Monday through Friday with some sporadic rural weekend calls. Clients include cattle producers, ranch owners, and public school teachers. The practice is 1.5 hours from the Dallas Metroplex, and new clients are being drawn to the practice due to its outstanding reputation.
Qualifications:
- Veterinarian with a valid license in good standing in the state of Texas
- Current DEA registration
- Knowledge of principles, theories, and practices of veterinary medicine and science
- Ability to perform veterinary surgery in a safe, accurate, and healthy manner
- Active listening, critical thinking, complex problem-solving, and time management skills
- Commitment to practicing the highest standards of veterinary medicine
- Strong communication and computer skills
