A small animal and pocket pet veterinary hospital in Kissimmee, Florida is hiring an Associate Veterinarian. The practice provides medicine, surgery, and preventative care services. This is an AAHA-accredited facility.
We seek a full-time Associate Veterinarian in Kissimmee, FL for this small animal practice. Associate veterinarians perform surgeries and see appointments (medical and wellness) on a rotating schedule with every other weekend off. The practice does see emergencies during business hours but refers any after-hours/holiday/weekend emergencies to the local ER clinic. The veterinarian will perform physical exams, create diagnostic and treatment plans, monitor in-hospital patient care, communicate with clients for cases requiring a veterinarian call back, perform common surgeries, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging results. The veterinarian will consult with cardiologists, radiologists (telemedicine), or other specialists upon referrals. The veterinarian will participate in team meetings, community outreach, and contribute to hospital social media by writing monthly blog posts.

Qualifications
A valid Florida veterinarian license in good standing, a valid DEA license in good standing, and experience working in small animal medicine and surgery. Associates will be required to carry veterinary liability insurance while employed.
