WGL - Jr. Analyst, Rates
Position Summary
Plays a key role in developing and preparing Purchased Gas Charge (PGC) documents, rate design initiatives and presentations to various internal and external stakeholders. Participates in developing and timely submission of jurisdictional related regulatory filings. We are open to hiring at the Analyst or Sr Analyst level, depending on experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Prepares regulatory filing reports for submission to the Commission, the Staff and intervenors.
- Provides support for rate design on a periodic rate cases.
- Serves as a point of contact for the group related to external regulatory matters and discovery requests.
- Monitors and researches regulatory developments in all jurisdictions and stays up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes related to natural gas pricing and billing.
- Maintains and develops pricing policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or a related field preferred.
- Previous natural gas experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly strong Excel skills (previous experience using VLOOKUP, Index, Match functions).
- Ability to work in a team, as well as independently, and a willingness to shift focus and activity to accomplish the departmental objective(s) with the highest priority.
- Ability to analyze and solve narrowly-defined business problems.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to present diverse ideas in a logical and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
We offer a competitive salary range of $57,000 to $78,375 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
