Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy & Deal Analytics plays an important role across the full commercialization continuum to ensure thorough and accurate pricing and contracting analyses. Responsible for managing and developing work with Account Management, Brand, Pricing, Payer Marketing, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to assess and develop contracting opportunities, provide customer negotiation support for contract bids, execute contracts, and monitor contract effectiveness. Make recommendations for the development and execution of account value-based pricing analyses, framework, and process to evaluate WAC/NET pricing, payer reimbursement impact and contracting/discounting strategies for assigned franchise.
This is a hybrid position, and the selected candidate will be required to work onsite in the Lake Zurich, Illinois office 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Model out payer contract scenarios related to prior authorization, step therapy, tier, patient co-pays, number of products in a tier level, total market basket products, and varying types of payer contract scenarios.
- Collaborate with Franchise teams and cross-functional stakeholders including global counterparts, policy, HEOR and finance to manage payer modeling activities and work on payer pricing and contracting rates.
- Development of market access strategies for inline and pipeline products by conducting payer financial modelling scenarios for market and competitor analyses, stakeholder and payer research across medical and pharmacy benefit contracts.
- Manage the strategic and financial evaluation of potential contracting efforts, customer negotiations and end-to-end Brand payer contract execution.
- Oversee the data provided to make strategic decisions with launch WAC, ASP, AWP, contracting strategy and preferred formulary coverage maintenance through lifecycle of product.
- Develop, manage, and maintain reimbursement and contracting strategies throughout product lifecycle that align with optimal market performance.
- Provide guidance for the strategic and financial evaluation of potential contracting efforts, customer negotiations and end-to-end Brand payer contract execution.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong understanding of the US access environment with 7+ years of payer (e.g. health plan and/or PBM), pharmaceutical, analytical, pricing or equivalent experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of access landscape, pricing vehicles and contracting strategies across a broad spectrum of channels/organizations (Health Plans, PBMs, Medicare Part D, Medicare Part B, Long-Term Care, GPOs, VA / DoD Specialty Pharmacy and State Medicaid).
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of US healthcare economics and the drivers of pharmaceutical demand, including pricing and reimbursement.
- Forward thinker who can adapt and grow with the evolving pricing and contracting landscape.
- Ability to build relationships, collaborate and influence across a matrix organization.
