WHAT YOU'LL DO
- You are responsible for the structural optimization of existing assembly and logistics operations along the entire value chain.
- You will be the link and partner for production and development.
- You will support cross-functional industrial project teams.
- You take part in the implementation of new and further development of existing processes and procedures in the production of our customers.
- You assist in the development of a lean logistics flow throughout the plant and drive a continuous improvement process regarding quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
- You will prepare and continuously update the contingency plan for plants of our clients, plant layouts, off-site sequencing centers, as well as work instructions for operators and manufacturing time studies, ensuring standardization of these processes.
- You provide technical support to the manufacturing teams when introducing new products in the plant and execute this according to budget, planning, and mandatory requirements.
- You initiate manufacturing cost reduction projects to meet production cost targets by selecting the most efficient and cost-effective tools for assembly processes.
- You will organize and coordinate trials of new equipment and processes in the plant in accordance with the commissioning plan through to acceptance.
- You will manage day-to-day equipment installation with the equipment supplier and provide documentation to the management.
- You support the operations management to resolve production and quality bottlenecks and provide new technical solutions to improve production performance (productivity, quality, safety, availability).
- You will provide input on training and conduct training sessions.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have at least a Bachelor of Engineering degree: Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical or similar.
- You have 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry with a focus on the final assembly environment.
- You have good knowledge of lean production principles, material flow optimization, and continuous improvement processes.
- You produce clear status reports and can identify issues, create solutions, and navigate resolutions.
- You are characterized by a precise, independent, and structured way of working in a fast-paced environment, you have a quick perception and high business acumen, and you motivate others, drive collaboration, and resolve conflicts quickly.
- You are willing to travel.
- You are authorized to work in the US.
