Aon Is Looking for a Claims Property Construction Consultant / Business Interruption Claims
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Aon Property & Risk Consulting business group within Aon Risk Solutions. You will report directly to the Managing Director of Aon’s Rapid Response, Claims Preparation, Advocacy and Valuation team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating
- Project scheduling / Project rebuild projections
- Replacement Valuations of physical property
- Knowledge in loss mitigation/planning
- Knowledge of Marshall and swift Manuals and other guides
- Bonus – Understanding of the use of Xactimate
- Review, audit and analyze accounting books and records, financial statements, or other financial reports – P&L’s, budgets, inventory, revenues, value of production, invoices, bank records, expenses
- Data entry and statistical analysis
- Process information – compile, categorize, calculate, audit, verify information and data. Double check for accuracy
- Communicate to team members on workload, status of projects
- Basic office administration – make copies, organize files, manage office supplies
- Time and expense tracking – On a regular basis, track time and expense for client billing and internal usage.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 to 15 Years of relevant experience
- Mathematics and Accounting Principles – Using mathematics and basic accounting principles to solve problems
- Ability to be proactive and to prioritize tasks. Good multitasker
- Interpersonal & teamwork– Working cooperatively with others – peers, supervisors, clients, adjusters, auditors and building relationships to mutually achieve the goals
- Technical Insurance knowledge – strong background/knowledge of basic principles of insurance, the roles of the players and how property insurance coverage applies
- Deductive Reasoning – the ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
- Mathematical Reasoning – the ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem
- Oral Expression – the ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
- Written Expression – the ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand
- Strong computer skills in MSOffice with ability to do Macros a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of forensic accounting a plus
- Travel – job requires domestic and potentially international travel. Willing travel, work Catastrophe related projects
MINIMUM EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university or equivalent experience and professional designations.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $135,000 to $160,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
