ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a HR Business Partner / VP who will play an important role working with Xora’s team and portfolio companies. The successful candidate will have a high bar of excellence and be a ‘thinker-doer’, i.e., a strategically minded, yet a hands-on and strong communicator. He/she will take pride in enhancing progressive HR policies and streamlined processes that empower our entire team to achieve optimal performance and focus on delivering value to our stakeholders. The HRBP would need to maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business, understand business priorities and translate them into impactful solutions. This role will proactively support our leadership team in building a strong, positive work culture embodying our corporate values and in fostering the collective well-being and morale of our team. As our in-house subject matter expert, you would also be expected to advise our portfolio company founders on HR-related topics. It is key that the successful candidate has a track record of successfully developing and executing on talent strategies in service of business objectives. This position requires you to work from the Company’s headquarters in Singapore.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
- With executive management, implement the organizational and talent strategy to support the company’s growth and expansion objectives, including talent recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
- Augment and administer core human resource programs including globally competitive compensation and benefits; performance assessment and talent management; career progression and development.
- Manage and resolve all types of employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests.
- Ensure effective and efficient implementation of policies and practices pertaining to all HR matters to ensure consistency and transparency.
- Continuously review HR services, offerings, and processes and propose amendments and customization where necessary to ensure competitiveness.
- Build on and orchestrate end-to-end HR functions.
- Maintain a strong professional network to keep updated on best practices and tools.
- With the leadership team, develop and execute a culture playbook that integrates our purpose, values, aspirations, and brand.
- Act as a partner and advisor to founders of portfolio companies to help establish HR systems, policies, and processes.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 10+ years of human resource management experience as an HR generalist/business partner managing end-to-end HR functions, with at least 5 years in a senior HR Business Partnership role.
- Experience in developing and augmenting HR policies, processes, systems, and business partnering in a high-performance environment.
- Strong problem-solving approach that supports and enables efficient and effective decision-making amongst multiple stakeholders.
- Sophisticated understanding of the talent needs of venture-backed, high-velocity startups.
- Excellent communication, partnering, and relationship-building skills with a proven ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a wide range of internal and external partners, including our portfolio companies.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills; comfortable interacting and communicating with executive and senior management levels.
- Experience in both professional services and start-ups would be preferred.
