CONTROLLER/FINANCIAL ANALYSTMilitary Friendly & Preferred - Hoh SponsorZermount Inc. is seeking a motivated Controller/Financial Analyst to join our Corporate and Financial team at Zermount. This person will be responsible for managing financial operations, developing financial strategies, and providing financial advice to the CEO and President. The Controller/Financial Analyst will oversee the creation and maintenance of efficient financial processes, manage the finance IT system, and ensure compliance with the law and company policies. This person should have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as proficiency in accounting and tax preparation software. The Controller/Financial Analyst will lead the creation and maintenance of the most efficient path to clean financial data for reporting and analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities- Initiate clear financial processes through the evaluation of locations, tags, and custom fields, as well as being responsible for owning, directing, and clearly documenting process improvements.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial records, manage cash flow, perform risk management, and make decisions on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks.
- Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports, manage vendor, client, and subcontractor invoicing relationships, and ensure compliance with the law and company policies.
- Keep accurate records for all daily transactions.
- Prepare balance sheets, process invoices, and record accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Update internal systems with financial data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and participate in financial audits.
- Track bank deposits and payments.
- Assist with budget preparation, as well as review and implement the financial policy.
- Provide financial advisory to CEO and President and support strategy sessions for the company's financial planning.
- Own the creation and maintenance of the most efficient path to clean financial data for reporting and analysis.
- Cash flow management, manage referrals for banking, financing, and insurance pros.
- Month-end, quarterly, and year-end reviews.
- Perform risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments.
- Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks.
- Manage vendor, client, subcontractor invoicing relationships.
- Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports.
- Set up and oversee the company's finance IT system.
- Ensure compliance with the law and company's policies.
- Manage a team of financial controllers and financial analysts.
- Develop and implement pricing approach and strategy through the activities of the pricing team supporting federal proposals solicitation responses.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- 8-10 years of related experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical and multi-task skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
EducationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field is preferable, but professional experience is permitted.
Certifications And Training (Preferred)A minimum of at least one of the following security certifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Management Accountant Designation (preferred)
- Other related certification
Work LocationRemote; occasional onsite meetings at Zermount Corporate Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
Hours of Operation- Business Hours: 8:00 am EST - 4:30 pm EST.
