Primary job responsibilities include:
- Plan, lead and execute assurance engagements (compilations, reviews and audits)
- Analyze and assess financial statements and internal controls
- Identify areas of risk and recommend improvements
- Supervise, train and mentor junior team members providing them with constructive feedback
- Handle and prepare complex transactions and work with clients on technical matters
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, standards and practices (technical knowledge of GAAP and GAAS)
- Foster client relationships to ensure information is gathered, and matters are resolved within a timely and effective manner
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary
Qualifications:

- At least three years’ prior experience in public accounting, CPA a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex information
- Knowledge of the following software programs is preferred:
- QuickBooks Desktop and Online
- Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Word
- Caseware
- Datasnipper
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and to analyze problems logically and comprehensively, distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant information.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
Ability to handle sensitive/confidential matters in a tactful and discreet manner
Strong inter-personal skills, including the capability to effectively present information and respond to clients’ needs
