Job Description
The Business Analyst position is dedicated to specific internal stakeholders at RoundPoint. The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst is to provide daily and routine support of the existing business processes of assigned stakeholders through maintenance of existing reporting and technology infrastructure, response to ad-hoc reporting demands, and analysis of business process issues. The Business Analyst will maintain a technology roadmap through partnering with assigned stakeholders to understand, outline, and document existing and future business processes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide daily and routine support to the existing business processes of internal customers through ad hoc reporting and maintenance of existing reporting.
- Maintain working knowledge of existing business processes and reporting/technology needs used to support these processes.
- Conduct user interviews to collect and document business, functional and system requirements in a clear and concise manner that will provide clear definition of business and technical functionality.
- Facilitate the maintenance of and updates to existing technology roadmap items.
- Understand the underlying business need behind completed tasks and ensure it is fulfilled by facilitating end user testing.
- Contribute to ad hoc analytical projects as necessary both within and beyond your primary area of focus.
- Proactively identify areas of improvement in current processes and prioritize these needs to help drive increased efficiency and automation.
- Understand the daily, monthly, and routine operations of internal and external customers in order to identify areas of potential improvement and increased efficiency.
- Incumbent will be responsible for meeting RoundPoint’s commitment to compliance and operational excellence.
- Other duties as necessary or assigned to support the overall growth of RoundPoint.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven track record of success in fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel).
- Ability to write simple SQL queries.
- Strong Attention to Detail.
- Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to problem solve and meet planned deadlines.
- 1-2 years of prior work experience as a Business Analyst or similar job role is preferred.
- 1-2 years of prior work experience in the Financial Services is preferred.
- Previous work experience with MicroStrategy or similar BI tool is preferred.
- Experience working with MSP/LPS/Black Knight servicing systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS SQL is preferred.
