Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Manager of Corporate Accounting with strong leadership and communication skills, able to proactively drive a team within a fast-paced, publicly-traded environment.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Responsible for corporate accounting processes, heavy emphasis on leases and fixed assets.
- Communicate across the organization to manage accounting aspects of real estate and lease administration.
- Assist in month-end close procedures, including preparation or review of journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly reports.
- Maintain documentation of accounting processes/procedures and related internal control framework.
- Assist in preparation of audit schedules requested by internal and external auditors.
- Support other departments to reach organization goals and deadlines.
- Implementation of continuous process improvements/efficiencies.
- Ad hoc projects to assist with accounting research and other internal projects.
Basic Qualifications
- CPA required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Heavy exposure to lease accounting, with understanding of ASC 842.
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience managing or leading a team.
- Proven ability to multi-task and deliver results in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and controls.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and process improvement skills.
- Ability to convey information effectively to all levels of management and external auditors.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups for a large volume of data.
