Purpose of Job:
This position supports the Development Team in all data, system & process-related activities. This position is a strong influencer that proactively identifies and helps resolve core problems. The role serves as a liaison to IT and other Business Groups across the Enterprise.
Key deliverables for this role include:
- Works directly with business leaders and business analyst community to understand and prioritize opportunities where data and analytical insights can provide significant business value
- Provides analytical leadership to the business community, bringing new thinking and innovative approaches to solving problems
- Effectively scopes, sizes, and plans the development of analytical solutions and sets expectations accordingly
- Develops analytical solutions that meet or exceed the business need
- Summarizes analytical findings and makes recommendations on potential business actions to be evaluated
- Effectively communicates findings to business stakeholders who can affect change, and demonstrates follow-through in helping the business to implement change
- Effectively works with IT and the BI team to represent the priorities and needs of the distributors (and others) and articulate analytical requirements that translate into scalable technical solutions (data marts, flexible data models, self-service BI, analyses, model builds, etc.)
- Analyzes data, trends, and data patterns and applies statistical methods to real-world business problems
- Astute on emerging technologies and analytical approaches and trends (e.g. Data Visualization, Regression, K-Means Clustering, Machine Learning)
Qualifications:
- BA Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with SQL required
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar interactive dashboarding tool required
- Experience with Python, Alteryx, or SAS preferred
- Experience developing and Implementing Security at Row Level in Data Visualizations preferred
- Solid critical thinking, quantitative and qualitative analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to correlate data across multiple reports to ensure consistency
- Self-confident and self-driven, with the ability to collaborate or work independently with strong time management and ability to execute on multiple concurrent deliverables
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and assignments
Work Environment:
- Work in the office at least once per week
- Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods
- Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, and talk and hear
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 20+ lbs.
