The Project Costing Accountant is responsible for all project costing accounting, reconciliations, month end analysis and drives impact across the Yum! business through working with assigned brands. This role plays an active role in month end processing and works with Brand Reporting and Finance teams at KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Habit Burger, and Yum, Facilities, Development and Accounting Services. The Project Costing Analyst reports to the Project Costing Supervisor.
Salary Range: $61,400 to $63,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Responsibilities
- Perform timely completion of account reconciliations for assigned brands and ensure reconciliations follow SOX requirements.
- Property loss claim set ups and accruals.
- Prepare period end reports such as estimated depreciation, expense matrices, and software reclasses.
- Ensures project costing policies are followed, i.e. capitalization, disposition, dead site/pre-capex, IDC, capital interest and $25k+ project review.
- Project setup, retirements, monitor spending and journal entries for Facility, Development, National, and Overhead Projects.
- Prepare analysis for gain/loss on disposal of fixed assets.
- Assist in period and quarterly accounting and analysis of various project costing related accounts.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other finance related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in property accounting and reconciling accounts. General accounting experience is acceptable.
- Strong systems and software aptitude (JD Edwards, Oracle and Reports Now preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and immediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Effective written and oral communications skills.
