Job Overview – International Senior Accountant
Join our client's team as an International Senior Accountant and take on a pivotal role in managing international accounting efforts, including US GAAP conversion, foreign currency translation, and intercompany reconciliations. Located in Delaware County, PA, this position offers a hybrid schedule and the opportunity for career growth within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities of the International Senior Accountant include:
- Lead international accounting efforts, including US GAAP conversion and foreign currency translation processes.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness of intercompany transactions.
- Collaborate with plant controllers and corporate accounting team to consolidate financial statements and ensure compliance with US GAAP standards.
- Support the Assistant Controller in financial reporting activities and month-end close processes.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to enhance accounting processes and systems.
- Actively contribute to the team's success and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements of the International Senior Accountant include:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience in public audit, corporate accounting, or a combination of both.
- Big 4 or regional public accounting experience preferred.
- CPA is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of international accounting principles and experience with foreign currency translation.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.
