Senior Accounting Professional
Pelletier, Chase & Associates is a full-service CPA firm with nearly 30 years of industry experience located in downtown Portland, Maine. We have a passion for providing exceptional service to our clients and work with an exciting mix of industries, like construction and real estate, breweries/distilleries, and manufacturing, to name just a few.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting and assurance reporting, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.
As a Senior Accounting Professional with PCA, you will:
- Prepare federal and state corporate, individual, trust, and partnership returns.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Manage complex accounting projects, including audits, reviews, and compilations.
- Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze financial data.
- Identify and assess financial risks and advise clients on implementing effective controls to mitigate them.
- Stay up to date on accounting standards and industry best practices.
A successful candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA certification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and assurance reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
