Tyler Technologies is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Property & Recording Finance team! The position is responsible for performing financial planning and analysis for the P&R Division. The position supports the Director of Finance, P&R, by providing financial analysis services in a broad range of areas including (but not limited to) financial results, planning, projections, analysis and key metrics.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate P&R Division financial plans and projections.
- Prepare analysis of results versus expectations for senior management and make recommendations and/or changes to improve and support business operations.
- Drive operational efficiencies by identifying and implementing process enhancements that create improved controls and profitability.
- Recommend actions based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
- Assist in industry analysis, as directed.
- Provide ongoing financial modeling and analysis in support of business and various ad hoc projects.
- Provide presentation ready biweekly, quarterly and annual reports to senior management including financial projections and operating performance.
- Assist in the development of performance/profitability metrics to ensure results are aligned with expectations.
- Maintain flash reports with relevant metrics and performance trends which support strategic decision making and resource maximization.
- Preparation of quarterly review packages.
- Key resource responsible for developing and maintaining financial databases that support actual, plan and projected financial information, using ACCESS.
- Ad hoc projects and analysis.
Qualifications
- BS in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting (preferred)
- 5 years progressive experience in financial roles, including financial planning
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial statements required
- Knowledge of financial concepts beyond accounting
- Expertise in Excel
- Expertise in ACCESS database development and queries.

- Interface with multiple departments and develop relationships with key finance personnel.
- Work directly with senior management. The incumbent’s work is viewed at the senior most level of the organization.
- Work well under the pressure of deadlines, prioritize and multi-task.
- Interpret results and draw conclusions based on analysis and business expertise.
- Clearly communicate analysis, minimizing follow up questions.
- Provide a list of clients or potential reasons for variances.
- Plan and Project – summarize changes to identify the largest drivers by client beyond the comments in our data/pivot tables.
- Perform variance analysis – identify the cause and follow up on corrections.
