Position Summary
This Senior Analyst, Tax will work closely with Tax Management to support implementing and maintaining best-in-class tax processes for accurate and timely:
- interim and year-end tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 for GAAP;
- non-GAAP analysis in accordance with Company policy;
- tax forecasting and cash tax projections for the Company’s Long Range Plans;
- Managing Tax Automation Processes and Software;
- Federal and state compliance support;
- SOX compliance and support.
The candidate should have prior exposure in the areas listed below:
- Preparation of consolidated tax provision and tax footnote reporting under US GAAP for quarterly and annual SEC financial reporting
- Preparation of Non-GAAP effective tax rate schedules and reconciliations for management reporting
- Preparation in cash tax projections and for Company PLAN and LRP (long range plan) including ad-hoc tax reform modeling and M&A modeling
- Preparation of tax journal entries for quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Preparation of tax attributes (utilization and carryforwards), calculation of 382 limitations
- Preparation of ASC 740-10/FIN 48 calculation and assist with new tax exposure analysis and documentation
- Assist with implementation of process improvements and automation efforts
- Experience with OneSource Tax provision software: OTP, UTP, ITC
- Assistance with Quarterly/Annual SOX Internal Control documentation
- Conduct income tax research and assist in drafting tax technical memos
- Provide support and coordination for US tax compliance
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- 2-4+ years of relevant experience in corporate and/or public tax accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA certification or MST or comparable advanced degree, a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player, proactive, flexible and adaptable
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Exposure to tax research, analytical, and reconciliation skills
- Exposure to Financial reporting for Income Taxes
- Prior experience in non-GAAP tax reporting, a plus
- International exposure, a plus (e.g., transfer pricing, IFRS, local statutory reporting, BEAT)
- Experience in building tax forecasting models in excel and other tax planning tools, a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft office (especially Excel)
- Alteryx experience, a plus
- Life Sciences background, a plus
- Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP, a plus
