The Sensient Finance team is seeking a highly motivated individual that has the desire to continue to grow their career and build business partnerships along the way. Reporting to the Shared Service FP&A Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Flavors Group finance team with driving financial success and growth of the business. This includes the preparation and improvement of financial analysis based on the input of all sites that are required on a routine and ad hoc basis. The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for offering and compiling business and financial information for the Flavors and Extracts Group which will aid strategic decisions and future development. This position is high visibility and will have frequent interaction with the Group CFO, Business Unit Controllers, and Corporate Staff.
What you will do:
- Accurate and timely completion of the Daily Sales report which is sent directly to Senior Management, including Sensient CEO and CFO.
- Responsible for compiling or assisting with the creation of daily, quarterly, monthly, and annual reporting; including Daily Sales, Revenue & Profit forecasts, P&L bridges, Geographical Sales, Customer Attrition, Related Party Reporting, and Product Line Analysis.
- Lead monthly departmental expense reviews and forecasts.
- Assist with annual planning process across 8 business units, global and domestic, through $850+M budget.
- Work with business intelligence tools and dashboard reports.
- Support ad hoc requests.
- Recommend process improvements for financial reporting and analysis.
- Other financial close and reporting activities upon request.
What you will bring:
- Must have strong analytical skills - ability to summarize and communicate complex financial data into simple to understand tables or charts.
- Self-initiative, ability to work with limited supervision and must be accustomed to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding oral and written skills, high level of commitment, ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required.
- 3+ years of prior experience in financial analysis required, ideally within a multi-site, multi-national, manufacturing environment.
- Must possess excellent system skills in MS Excel. JD Edwards, OneStream, Power BI and Cognos experience preferred.
