We are hiring for a Global Manufacturer/Supplier/Specialty Materials company that is high-growth and a leader in the industry.
This role plays a vital part in the Operations Accounting team within the broader Global Business Finance Support organization. As a Sr. Cost Accountant, you will not only handle numbers but will also serve as a strategic partner and leader within the plant’s leadership team. Your contributions will help shape key financial decisions that drive operational success and long-term growth.
The role is onsite in Oak Creek, Wisconsin with occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with plant leadership to develop and implement performance improvement plans aimed at enhancing productivity and optimizing costs. Use financial insights to guide critical decisions and promote a culture of financial discipline and operational excellence.
- Oversee the plant-wide budgeting process, working with all departments to set and achieve productivity and cost-saving targets. Lead efforts to exceed financial goals.
- Apply detailed financial analytics to identify opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights that drive cost control, enhance decision-making, and improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with various departments, such as Operations, Supply Chain, and Demand Planning, to ensure that financial strategies align with broader business objectives. Facilitate seamless communication across the plant and with the business unit finance teams.
- Work with plant leadership to develop and execute a strategic plan for capital investments. Lead the prioritization of critical projects, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Perform thorough post-completion reviews of significant investments to confirm financial and operational targets are achieved. Integrate lessons learned into future projects.
- Lead efforts to optimize inventory management across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Collaborate with the MRO store room team to ensure inventory accuracy and improve management of excess and obsolete inventory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cost accounting or financial support within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to influence financial results and lead cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel 2-3 times per year to the PA location.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
