As a Senior Property Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our team, working closely with property management staff to provide top-notch accounting services and financial reporting for our real estate clients. This position offers you the opportunity to make a significant impact while providing oversight and mentorship for junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Build Relationships: Foster ongoing, positive relationships with clients to ensure their accounting needs are met with excellence.
Financial Management: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
Budgeting & Reporting: Conduct bank reconciliations and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Assist the operations team with the annual budget process.
Close Processes: Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations. Assist the team in producing monthly financial packages by set deadlines.
Collaboration: Work closely with property management teams to ensure accurate reporting of property performance.
Audit Support: Assist with annual audits and tax preparation, collaborating effectively with external auditors.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional growth and development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred).
3 to 10 years of relevant experience in property accounting or real estate finance.
Experience with ResMan or another property accounting system is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
