Job Overview: As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization. You will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company standards.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and provide support in the forecasting process. Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Audit Support: Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance controls, and drive operational efficiency.
- Financial Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting standards.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
