Associate Accountant – Hybrid
Department - DAS – Central Business Office
Hourly Salary Range: $19.49 - 29.24

Job Summary:
Under direct supervision handles an assortment of financial activities including preparation and processing of invoicing, cash receipts, vendor invoices and journal vouchers. Assist in preparation of reports and other accounting-related responsibilities. May be responsible for assisting with the development and monitoring of smaller departments with operating budgets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Budget Management and Administration - Assist in preparation of schedules and reports from financial data. Provide support to accountants, analysts, and financial managers in investigation and analysis. May assist in the preparation and monitoring of smaller department budgets.
- Fiscal Analysis - Assist in reconciliation and compilation of financial data to assist analysts and program managers in providing division directors valuable, actionable data by maintaining statistical and financial reports, investigating, and journal entry preparation.
- Accounting - Assist in various tasks as assigned and special projects. Examine fiscal documents thoroughly, apply to appropriate accounts.
- Perform accounting and procurement entries - Assist with preparation and recording of journal entries, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Year-end and Audit - Assist with preparation of year-end accruals, reversals, journal entries and audit requests as assigned.
- Department Policy and Procedure Development - Assisting with the development of policies and procedures for the department.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Current resident of WI
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
- At least One (1) year of experience in accounting.
- In lieu of education requirement, individual could have min 10 years of accounting related experience.
- Basic knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets.
- Ability to carry, lift, push and pull 20 lbs.
