Position Overview:
As a Staff Accountant at our organization, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions. This position requires a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to think strategically, influence positive changes, and support internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Prepare Journal Entries: Responsible for preparing and recording journal entries accurately and timely.
- GL Account Review and Reconciliations: Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies in financial data.
- Cash Transactions Reconciliation: Reconcile daily cash transactions for multiple accounts and legal entities, and investigate treasury activities, including wires, ACH, and cash transfers.
- Bank Statements Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile monthly bank statements to maintain accurate financial records.
- Credit Card Account Reconciliation: Ensure the reconciliation of company credit card accounts.
- Positive Pay Monitoring: Monitor positive pay exceptions to prevent fraudulent activity.
- Audit Support: Provide support for annual external or tax audits, assisting with data and documentation.
- Expense Report Processing: Process employee expense report reimbursements efficiently and accurately.
- Special Projects: Assist with special projects and ad-hoc reporting tasks as needed.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the dynamic needs of the accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Skills And Abilities
- Data Analysis and Spreadsheet Tools Proficiency: Proficient in data analysis and spreadsheet tools, including advanced functions including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear communication with stakeholders.
- Effective Communication: Proficient in conveying complex financial information in written and verbal formats to facilitate decision-making.
- Detail-Oriented: Meticulously attentive to detail, ensuring organized, accurate financial records.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills for efficient task management and meeting deadlines.
