About The Role
This role is a member of the Chief Information & Digital Office Strategy & Operations team, which is focused on the Strategy, Operations, and Culture across the IT, Global Business Services, and Digital Enablement functions. The Contract & Vendor Management team is focused on creating and optimizing contract and vendor management practices across these functions. This role acts as a key liaison between Legal and Contract and/or Vendor Owners, ensuring the Functions we support are legally and procedurally compliant.
As the Contracts & Vendor Management Business Analyst, you will manage, lead, and execute various initiatives related to the Contract and Vendor Management process in collaboration with the Corporate Commercial Contracts team.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Review contracts for accuracy and compliance to BSC policies and guidelines
- Work directly with BSC stakeholders (including Legal) and Contract Owners to efficiently move contracts through the BSC contract processes
- Own the relationship, review, and negotiation of contracts for numerous vendor partners
- Identify and execute on process improvement initiatives
- Advise Contract Owners on BSC contract processes (including creating and providing training on certain processes like vendor management)
- Review and triage requests for Legal review or assistance that come in through the Legal Intake process ensuring submission conforms with existing process
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification, and/or minimum 1-3 years’ experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts, including at least 2 years with Sourcing & Procurement contracts specifically
- In lieu of bachelor’s degree:
- minimum 3 years’ experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts, including at least 2 years with Sourcing & Procurement contracts specifically
- paralegal or other relevant legal degree or certification and minimum 2 years’ experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts
- Demonstrated ability to thrive while working across time zones, cultures, and different personal backgrounds and an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Demonstrated ability to flourish in situations with high levels of outside pressure, high-volume of work, multiple and shifting priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification, and/or minimum 3 years’ experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts, including at least 2 years with Sourcing & Procurement contracts specifically
- Experience with Privacy (e.g., HIPAA, PHI, PII)
- Process-improvement mind-set
- Comfortable using technology (e.g., Jira, Ariba, Archer, SharePoint, MS365 products)
- Ability to think both strategically and analytically, as needed
- Highly user-focused
- Very strong planning, organizational, and execution skills
