Spherion Staffing Fargo - Senior Tax Accountant
Spherion Staffing is looking for a Senior Accountant with tax experience. The candidate is responsible for performing accounting and tax-related tasks, including preparing business and personal income tax returns, reconciling accounts, general bookkeeping and payroll, and collecting and analyzing financial data for the clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare corporate, partnership, individual, trust or estate tax returns
- Review returns prepared by staff and providing training
- Communicate with clients as a trusted advisor regarding tax preparation, planning and complex tax issues
- Correspond with taxing authorities regarding tax notices
- Perform research and be the contact person for the IRS on a client's behalf
- Provide Accounting services for tax clients
- Provide financial statement preparation and compilation engagements
Requirements:
- CPA license or EA Certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
- 5+ years of experience
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple client engagements
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Ability to effectively delegate work as needed
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail
