The Director of Accounting will be responsible for the accounting and finance functions of the Company’s US operations. This includes supervision and review of the Company’s monthly financial accounting, reporting, and analysis. The position will also be responsible for planning and forecasting, strategy, and professional staff supervision and development.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversee the timely and accurate completion of the US monthly accounting processes, along with related review, analysis, and reporting.
- Communication of financial results, trends, and analysis to senior finance and operational leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, risk, HR, and marketing to provide financial expertise and support strategic initiatives.
- Develop financial models aligned with the company’s operations and strategic initiatives to support decision making and measure success.
- Build a high performing accounting and finance team, implementing an organizational structure to meet the reporting and analysis needs of the Company, and recruiting and developing professional staff.
- Manage transactional teams such as account receivable and accounts payable to achieve a high level of operational performance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate internal controls and processes to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure all audit requirements are met.
SKILLS / EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / ABILITIES
Required:
- Ten years of accounting or equivalent industry experience
- Superior analytical and reasoning skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven leadership skills and management experience
- B.S. Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Manage workload consisting of multiple tasks and frequent deadlines
