Job Summary
The Manager of Corporate Accounting will be responsible for managing the accurate and timely reporting of Rentokil-Terminix’s North American corporate departments. This includes determining accrual estimates and accurate financial reporting for corporate departments, including marketing, HR, Tax, Legal, FP&A, Transaction Services, Accounting, and Call Center costs.
The Manager will oversee a team of accounting professionals to support an accurate and efficient close for Corporate Departments and be involved in significant and judgemental areas of Rentokil-Terminix (“RTX”).
Key Performance Indicators
- Accurate and timely completion of financial information for corporate departments.
- Successfully partner with corporate teams to analyze costs, estimate cost accruals, investigate variances, and identify trends to increase accuracy in accruals, budgeting, and forecasting results.
- Ensure controls are operating effectively and work with Internal and External auditors for supporting Integrated Audit.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting and reporting for RTX’s corporate departments to accurately record financial transactions.
- Analyze corporate cost data, identify cost components, and develop cost trend analysis to improve reporting and methods of ensuring proper corporate cost accruals.
- Complete variance analysis of actual vs budget and forecast results, and summarize cost variance explanations to help drive improved performance in forecasting and cost recognition.
- Manage assigned controls and ensure compliance with company policy with a focus on a risk-based approach.
- Identify process improvements and policies through automation and consistency to increase transparency and reliability of Rentokil-Terminix’s reporting process.
- Direct and manage the accurate recording of various intercompany transactions between multiple Rentokil affiliates, confirming intercompany balances are accurate and complete.
- Lead a team to complete an accurate and efficient close for corporate departments, reviewing and approving journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses.
- Manage the recording and reporting of unclaimed property amounts to Tax for customers, payroll, and accounts payable unclaimed balances held.
- Manage the recognition of debt and equity accounting transactions, including Group Loans, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Provide detailed analysis and insight to accounting leadership and various functions to support growth initiatives in the business.
- Act as key liaison to coordinate and complete work requested by external and internal audit teams, providing accurate and timely information.
- Apply significant judgement to develop cost estimates and liability accruals.
- Partner with FP&A to ensure accurate reporting of results for Corporate Departments.
- Communicate any material change to the forecast/budget as soon as known.
- Meet regularly with corporate teams to discuss significant matters such as outstanding projects and future initiatives.
- Work with FP&A business partners for development of accurate forecast and analysis.
- Develop, manage, and coach staff members.
- Identify & implement areas of efficiency, automation, and acceleration for the close process.
- Review account reconciliations and prepare detailed fluctuation analysis for accounting leadership.
- Provide guidance and recommendations of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal/state/provincial law and company business philosophy.
- Oversee the security and integrity of Rentokil-Terminix’s financial information.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
CANDIDATE SUMMARY

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent relevant experience - Required.
- Current CPA credentials or equivalent is preferred.
