Senior Accountant Position

Overview:Join the team as a Senior Accountant in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, contributing to precise financial recording and month-end close processes. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified individual with a strong accounting background.
Responsibilities- Execute timely month-end close tasks: journal entries, accruals, and depreciation.
- Reconcile GL accounts, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.
- Review and validate Accounts Payable entries for accuracy and classification.
- Manage fixed asset systems, reconciling them with the General Ledger.
- Support revenue accounting for operating wind facilities.
- Reconcile easement payments and lease obligation calculations.
- Serve as backup for Accounts Payable and Senior Accountant Treasury roles.
- Prepare audit schedules and contribute to special projects as needed.
- Analyze budget-to-actual variances and assist in tax filing reporting requirements.
- Cross-train for Senior Accountant Treasury responsibilities.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 5-7 years of accounting experience, preference for Public/Private experience.
- Strong GAAP knowledge with multi-company accounting experience.
- Advantageous to have system implementation experience.
- Understanding of US tax regulations; knowledge of Canadian tax is a plus.
- High attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
- Proficient in Excel for managing complex spreadsheets.
- Experience with NetSuite, Sage/Timberline, or Great Plains is advantageous.
- Effective team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize workflow and adapt to changing priorities.
