Role Summary:
This position will provide financial and analytical reports. Main responsibilities will include preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operational performance reports and on-going analytical projects. This position will report to senior manager within the department.
A Day in the Life as a Financial Analyst:
- Prepare domestic food and beverage financial results weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operational summary reports for management with special attention to detail and accuracy
- Identify trends, issues and indicators of future performance
- Assist in the development, design, capturing and report preparation of theatre level revenues and costs to enhance profitability of theatre operations including:
- Concession revenues and costs, cost of goods sold, and theatre labor for food and beverage
- Interact with food and beverage departments to interpret financial data and reports, gain understanding of data, and provide information and ideas to enhance profitability
- Maintain, generate, and review on-going analytical projects for senior management and food and beverage as well as operations
- Monthly maintenance, generation, and review of on-going analytical projects for senior management and operations
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and information for Board meetings and other financial presentations
- Provide supporting documentation and information for Earnings Release Calls and SEC Filings
- Load and maintain certain Essbase databases, as well as theatre statistics and attributes, on a regular basis
- Provide ad hoc analysis as needed
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for food and beverage
- Assist in preparing and analyzing financial models
What You Will Need To Have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years job related experience
- Minimum of advanced level of MS Excel experience (3 years)
- Experience in Windows Environment, MS PowerPoint, MS Access and Word
- Problem-solving and research abilities
- Ability to learn quickly, multitask and meet report deadlines
- Strong communication skills, oral and written
- Broad knowledge of financial concepts, procedures and practices
- Ability to understand complex financial concepts
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Detail oriented
- Team player
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics a plus
- Essbase, SQL, OLAP, or multi-dimensional database experience a plus
