As a Project Manager, you'll play a key role in transforming distressed properties into revitalized homes, contributing to the improvement of communities one house at a time. With over three decades of experience, Wedgewood Homes has grown into a nationally recognized leader in the industry, offering limitless career growth opportunities. This is a field-based role that requires being on the road, overseeing operations from initial planning through to project completion, and ensuring quality control at every step. Success in this role demands a keen eye for detail, quick analysis, creative solutions, and the ability to drive results in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
What you'll do:
- Frequently inspect properties for occupancy, make general assessments on the current conditions and quality of neighborhoods prior to acquisition.
- Support the Acquisitions team by bidding at the local courthouse as needed.
- Collaborate with the Design team and Area Manager to formulate a game plan for each property.
- Select and manage contractors, and continuously pursue relationships with new contractors/subs/vendors.
- Resolve difficult property issues, manage contractors and vendors, and advise the regional Area Manager on the status of properties.
- Drive inventory regularly and check in on properties to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Manage 10 to 30 projects at any given time.
- Prepare homes for listing and collaborate with the Wedgewood Homes Realty team during resale.
What you'll need:
- Experience with project management/single-family home remodels is preferred; 1-5 years of experience is ideal.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, Construction Management is a plus.
- Experience in real estate or appraising is ideal.
- Proficient with computers, mobile devices, and applications (i.e., iPads, Outlook, and basic Excel) is a must.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once, take initiative, and think on the go.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
Wedgewood occupies 50,000 square feet in a state-of-the-art headquarters in Redondo Beach, California and has been named Company of the Year by the city. Wedgewood has additional office locations in Las Vegas and Dallas, along with smaller offices throughout the country.
The salary range for this position is $65,000-$95,000.00 annually based on experience.
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary bonus of 10-25% of base salary (based on KPIs).
Eligible for unlimited compensation potential on Quarterly Production Bonuses.
All In Compensation potential of $72k-$118k+.
