Revenue Cycle Manager
Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000 Annually DOE + Benefits.
Olympic Sports & Spine is seeking a dynamic and experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to lead our revenue cycle management processes, including coding, billing, collections, denial management, and financial reporting. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing cash flow, minimizing bad debt, and managing accounts receivable while ensuring timely processing of claims, denials, and appeals. You will also be responsible for staying updated on payer, coding, and industry trends, and for training and mentoring the revenue cycle team.
This is a full-time, exempt position expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week on-site. Work Hours are between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains billing office procedures on the Javelin (SharePoint) to ensure a common understanding of essential processes and to assist with new employee training.
- Responsible for new employee training and the ongoing training and mentorship of Revenue Cycle Management staff.
- In collaboration with Billing Office Director, completes performance reviews on Insurance AR, Patient AR, and Payment posting staff.
- Fields and responds to patient complaints in a timely and effective manner. Investigates reported issues and potential solutions needed. Collaborates with management as needed.
- Responsible for the execution of the Insurance AR Follow Up and Collections processes. Monitors and advises staff to ensure timely and effective review of accounts, identification of priorities, appeal of denials, communication with payers, MVA accounts, and collection of remittance due.
- Responsible for the execution of the Patients Account Management and Collections processes. Monitors and advises staff to ensure timely and effective review of accounts, identification of priorities, communication with patients, the establishment of patient payment plans, coordination with collection agency, and collection of patient responsibility.
- Responsible for the execution of Payment Posting processes. Monitors and advises staff to ensure the timely and accurate posting of payments, monitor payments and write-offs for accuracy, review remit stations and banking site to ensure timely posting, ensures allocations and payments are accurate and have been posted.
- Manages and completes the patient and insurance refund processes. Reviews refund requests for accuracy and submits to accounting for processing.
- Actively pursues continuing education for self and ensures all members of CBO staff complete pertinent continuing education coursework.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of medical billing experience, including active AR management.
- Supervisory experience preferred with a track record of staff training and mentorship.
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy billing is required.
- Ability to analyze and interpret business and financial reports, and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
