OMS Field Services is looking for a GIS Mapping Analyst(s) to work in our clients Vegetation Management program. This position will compile, manipulate, and analyze geospatial data. Business conduct must occur in accordance with OMS policies and procedures and be aligned with the goals of OMS and our client.
North Valley Region and other Select Regions in Northern California
Essential Functions:
- Design, develop, and maintain databases and systems of GIS data.
- Create reports, maps, applications, and visualizations conveying the results of spatial analyses.
- Utilizes scripting languages to refine GIS data pipelines and processes.
- Provide GIS training or assistance to other organization members.
- Acknowledge and participate in the OMS H&S programs.
- Duties will include completing assigned H&S training.
- Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Forestry related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Two years job-related experience (i.e., Utility Tree Crew).
- OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
- Required to maintain a Class C driver’s license, including participating in Employer Pull Notice Program (EPN), with DMV.
- Conduct a background check, clear drug screening, and physical exam.
- Approval by Client Representative.
Working Conditions:
Environmental Factors: Indoor and outdoor conditions; exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on/walk on slippery or uneven and potentially mountainous terrain. Noise level is usually moderate.
