Lima One Capital has an exciting opportunity for an REO Asset Manager. The successful candidate for this role will provide direction and coordination for all functions associated with the disposition of acquired assets. We lend to investors who have a broad range of assets from single family Fix and Flips, single family rentals, and multifamily properties. The liquidation of the assets that we acquired through foreclosure (or deed in lieu of foreclosure) at the best execution rate will be the primary goal for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete an asset-based financial analysis for best execution strategy associated with the “as is” liquidation or rehab of the asset
- Partner with an REO Outsource Management company to develop and implement an approved asset management strategy for assigned portfolio, including marketing plans and case preparation within portfolio assigned timeframes
- Coordinate the asset rehabilitation strategy with internal departments and manage the project timeline
- Coordinate and manage the asset strategy and liquidation milestones between internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate the closing of escrow and coordination of all aspects involved with the closing process
- Confirm closing dates, location, documentation, and funds due at closing with buyers
- Provide recommendations to management on process improvement opportunities within the department where applicable to minimize risk exposure
- Ensure proper remittance of liquidation funds to external investors by coordinating with the investor reporting/remitting team
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of direct REO Asset Management Experience, commercial experience preferred
- Ability to work under minimum supervision and manage tight deadlines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
