Accountant
Our client located in Dallas is in need of an Accountant for a Direct Hire opportunity. Hybrid opportunity.

Accountant Role:
This senior-level leadership position operates under guidance and is tasked with supervising staff engaged in various accounting services functions. These include Financial Statement Preparation, Payroll Tax Reporting, Budget Development, Statement Reconciliation, Debt Management, Bookkeeping, QuickBooks Consulting, Setup of Computer Software, and reviewing the work of direct reports and other team members.
Enter, reconcile, and maintain the financial records for a variety of clients.
Record journal entries, reconcile bank accounts, produce financial reports and assist with payroll and file payroll reports.
Interact directly with clients.
Input of client data into QuickBooks.
Prepare payroll reports: quarterly, annual reports, federal, and state.
Financial statement preparation.
Responsible for any reconciliations.
Interface with clients regarding any QuickBooks and payroll questions.
Assist with updating asset and depreciation schedules.
Assist with preparation of work papers and journal entries for clients.
Keep supervisors up to date on assignments and scheduling issues.
Perform overtime work as needed January-April, July, and October.
Accountant Background Profile:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with CPA certification.
Expertise in QuickBooks, with QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification considered a strong asset.
Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and tax concepts.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of Lacerte tax software is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to cultivate positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
Capacity to adapt to a fast-paced, collaborative work environment and meet deadlines consistently.
