General Purpose of Job
The Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Analyst I assists in monitoring and maintaining the AMI system and portions of the Meter Data Management System (MDMS). This position supports reviewing and analyzing reports from the AMI and MDMS systems to identify operational improvements. The AMI Analyst I also aids in providing end-user training and helps develop and maintain user manuals and documentation related to AMI. Additional responsibilities include assisting in gathering, reporting, and analyzing data on meter reading activities, supporting large power billing, pre-paid billing, and acting as back-up support for Revenue Recovery and Billing.
Education
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
- Job-related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Experience
- Two (2) years of experience working with AMI systems, Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS), or related technologies.
- Experience in data analysis, troubleshooting technical systems, or similar work in electric utility operations is preferred.
Other Requirements
- Ability to work irregular hours for assignment completion and flexibility to change scheduling and report to work on short notice during emergency situations.
- Normal work hours will be eight (8) hours Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
