This position has a base salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 Annual.
Summary
This role will measure and analyze the drivers of BCU’s net income, working with financial models that track profitability across products, branches, members, and sales channels. By combining model outputs with your business acumen, you will collaborate with organizational leaders on strategic projects and track ROI. Strong problem-solving skills are essential, as you will address requests from various business units and present results to stakeholders and senior leaders.
Role and Responsibilities
- Track and analyze the profitability of BCU’s branches and products, identify financial trends, and recommend improvements.
- Build and maintain financial models and reports to calculate ROI.
- Streamline existing profitability processes, optimizing data flows.
- Analyze data across various member segments to maximize engagement and lifetime value of members.
- Work with branch and channel managers to identify and enhance drivers of profitability.
- Partner with product managers to assess the financial impact of campaigns, product designs, and pricing changes.
- Provide immediate support to departmental leaders and senior management, using profitability data to answer strategic questions and support business proposals.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Flexible learner with 3+ years of experience in an analytical role.
- Degree in business, finance, engineering, economics, data science or applied mathematics.
- Possess analytical skills and an ability to draw conclusions from large sets of data.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel user (experience with pivot tables, report designs, and goal seek).
- Prior experience utilizing relational databases, some SQL experience is desired.
- Experience with automation (VBA, Python) a plus.
- Proficiency in Data Visualization Tools (Power BI, SAS Enterprise Miner, R, Tableau) a plus.
- Demonstrate the ability to critically think and reduce a complex problem into a simple solution.
- Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Cost accounting experience or classwork helpful.
