Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Assistant I at Forbes Todd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our financial processes. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with various departments to ensure accurate tracking of stock.
- Conduct regular audits to reconcile physical inventory with digital records.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.
Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using established accounting software.
- Record financial transactions, including accounts payable and general ledger entries.
- Prepare financial reports, summaries, and statements to support decision-making.
Accounts Receivable:
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, and collections.
- Collaborate with customers to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure timely collection.
- Maintain clear and organized records of customer accounts and payment history.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in generating financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze schedule data, identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Human Resources Support:
- Assist in the onboarding process, including coordinating interviews and new employee orientation.
- Maintain personnel records and assist in HR-related tasks as needed.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for process optimization within the financial operations.
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
