Pulakos CPAs, a local, independent CPA firm, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team and provide professional full-charge, bookkeeping and accounting services for our clients in New Mexico, working out of our Managed Accounting Services department.
The Staff Accountant will work with our clients on:
- General Ledger and Financial Statements
- Payroll and related reporting
- General assistance and consultation with related matters beyond basic bookkeeping
We offer a flexible work arrangement that allows our accountants to work from our office, at the client's office, or remotely as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required to have a minimum of 2 years work experience in payroll, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation. Experience working at a CPA or bookkeeping firm preferred.
Formal education in Accounting (degree, college classes, certifications) is a plus, but is not required.
Required experience with QuickBooks.
Must be effective user of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
