BlueHalo is growing, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at BlueHalo. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and optimizing Fixed Assets/Inventory processes and provide accounting support, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting and achieving financial goals.
YOU’D LIKE TO DO THIS
- Fixed Asset Management:
- Review monthly activity in fixed asset G/L accounts and create new fixed assets in the system as needed.
- Run month-end close depreciation in the fixed asset module.
- Reconcile fixed asset G/L accounts.
- Construction in Process (CIP):
- Review monthly activity at the project code level.
- Track and follow up on project completion dates with project managers.
- Perform journal entries and create fixed assets upon CIP projects being completed.
- Reconcile CIP G/L accounts.
- Other Tasks:
- Perform reconciliations.
- Assist with audit requests and miscellaneous requests from other departments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Intercompany: Reconcile monthly intercompany transactions.
You're Required to Have This:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the aerospace and defense industry.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
Salary Range: $90k - $115K
