What You'll Be Doing
- Perform month-end closing procedures for various clients
- Produce general ledger information that is aligned with our clients' business models
- Use advanced system functions to expedite processing time and optimize reporting
- Use Excel to report, summarize, reconcile, and analyze data
- Extract, analyze, and interpret high volumes of data from various sources, including accounting and operating systems
- Assist with creating cash flow models, budgets, forecasts, and other analysis using advanced Excel techniques
- Identify variances and trends in financial data
- Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, and expressing recommendations
- Use prior experience to develop creative approaches for solving issues
- Use critical thinking skills to identify exceptions and errors in data and make corrections
- Collaborate with team members to develop solutions to complex business challenges
- Actively participate in team meetings, anticipate and provide ideas for process improvement and opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field strongly preferred
- Experience in public or private accounting consulting preferred
- Experience with private equity and/or mergers and acquisitions strongly preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in progressive accounting and/or finance roles
- Advanced Excel and modeling skills (pivots, lookups, complex formulas, and macro capability)
- Strong accounting and finance knowledge and experience (month/year-end close, general ledger, financial systems, financial reporting, consolidations, cash flow modeling, reconciliations, AR, AP, etc)
