About the Role:
We are looking for a Financial Analyst II in the Financial Planning & Analysis group of the Financial Management Department. You will analyze budget and cost accounting information, manage data, and assist management in reporting and forecasting financial information. This position is based in Dallas, TX.
You will work with a team of six other individuals who manage the organization's budget processes and ensure compliance with Federal Reserve cost accounting standards, while working with Finance Business Partners who are responsible for departmental budgets. You will report directly to the manager of FP&A to execute on deliverables and other duties as assigned.
You Will:
- Apply more advanced financial analysis and cost accounting principles and techniques to analyze cost data and trends; manage organization-wide operating expenses, capital expenses, and headcount; and perform analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare financial variance reports, gather contextual information to articulate why there are variances, communicate results of the analysis to Bank leadership, and determine viable solutions.
- Monitor monthly forecasts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment to Bank strategies.
- Collaborate with other areas of financial management to ensure accuracy in cost accounting data, including accounting and procurement data.
- Assist in writing the annual financial plan, which includes researching, analyzing, writing, and creating graphics.
- Create and deliver presentations on financial data or financial guidance to key stakeholders.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business Administration or related field.
- 2–5 years of professional experience in a finance, accounting, or related environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while being a team player. This includes having a customer focus, influencing others, navigating ambiguity, unstructured problem solving, taking initiative, an agile mindset, time management, and decision making.
- Proficient using Microsoft products, including Excel pivot tables and formulas.
- The ability to be in-office 2 days a week.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above.

Notes:
This position may be filled at various levels based on candidate's qualifications as determined by the department.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S and the role is not available for sponsorship.
This role allows for the employee to work in a hybrid manner with some work conducted onsite at the Federal Reserve work location and some work conducted remotely. For this specific role, 3 days per week of work can be conducted remotely. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
