Financial Planning Analyst
Position Summary:
Currently seeking a Finance planning analyst to support FP&A, monthly closing, channel profit analysis, activities on NCME Sales team’s budget across product categories and develop financial strategy with ROI-based prioritization and recommendation. This role will directly report to Manager of NCME category finance lead and will work closely cross-organizationally across all teams, particularly with Channel Marketing, account managers, corporate finance, marketing managers, and internal business planning teams.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis and Budget Management:
- Analyze programs spends and develop & recommend improvements by NC (Tablet & PC) product categories primarily, but not limited to, and channel based on profit and ROI analysis, historical performance data, and company strategic initiatives.
- Work with cross-functional teams to plan marketing and promotion spend allocation to validate ROI and alignment with company and strategic goals.
- Collection of bottoms-up financial forecasts for product categories for both target planning and management planning by account.
- Support Category finance lead in overseeing overall sales team’s spend budget and shifts budget among channel to review final version with leadership.
- Institute improvements for budget/spend management across the organization, including data housing, communication, and forecast variance management.
- Perform program analysis of spend efficiency and identify areas to improve on marketing investments and provide senior leadership with regular reporting, budget status, financial metrics by category and channel spend analysis.
- Own monthly target planning budget forecast process of marketing and promotional activities and submit monthly forecast of channel spend in both excel and internal system.
- Facilitates communication between Channel Marketing/Account Managers/Marketing Managers on program spends and communicates budget amount to each team.
- Manage external vendor invoicing and communicate with external vendors to resolve invoicing errors, discrepancies, and disputes, including ensuring correct proof of performance.
- Communicates process changes for budget management, guidance from leadership.
- Weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting of the above and other metrics as needed.
- Manage vendor payment requests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field and 0-4 years of experience in the job offered.
- Very strong business analytical skills, financial acumen, budget management know-how required.
- A proven self-starter, he/she must be a highly motivated individual with a strong ability to aggregate and consolidate from disparate data sources not readily available or stored.
- Experience in managing and tracking budget.
- Experience in developing financial and operational analysis and presentation to management.
- Strong financial and general accounting knowledge.
- Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills, familiarity with SAP or other ERP system.
- Strong database management- need to be very attentive to details.
Necessary Skills and Attributes:

- Strong proficiency in navigating large organizations and multiple points of contact to complete a singular task.
- Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.

- The ability to complete tasks and work assignments on tight deadlines, sometimes based on vaguely defined parameters and data availability.
