Role: Responsible for recommending and selling financial products and services to advance Blaze growth objectives while exemplifying superior member service and building positive member relationships. Opens and maintains all types of new accounts and consumer loans. In addition, this position will act as a resource to both the branch staff and members by displaying knowledge and expertise in the financial services field. This position will drive unparalleled member satisfaction, net promoter score (NPS), member retention, cultivate a culture of excellence, and contribute to the overall success and reputation of the organization.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Recommend and sell Blaze products and services to ensure that the member’s financial needs and Blaze’s growth objectives are met. This includes identifying members’ financial needs and marketing appropriate products and services; consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals for loans, partner referrals, and account opening as set by management utilizing needs-based sales and service skills, overseeing consumer loan process following approved guidelines, executing new account application process, maintaining knowledge of products and services, following up on all service and sales leads in a timely basis (outbound calls and or correspondence).
- Follow Credit Union banking guidelines and efficiently process all transactions, deposits, withdrawals, loans; adhering to Cash/Check handling policy, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and accuracy of documentation in order to manage risk and reduce losses, and maintaining confidentiality of Credit Union and member records.
- Perform other duties to support effective branch operations. This includes backing up teller line/vault as needed.
Other Duties
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support effective department operation.
Requirements
Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses
- High School degree or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of similar or related experience.
Demonstrated Knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Skill in selling, including the ability to identify member's needs to explain features and benefits of Blaze services and to close sales opportunities; able to advise and refer.
- Well organized, efficient, detail-oriented and able to work independently or on a team.
Communication Skills
Ability to proactively respond to members/staff to problem solve based on guidelines; written communications are based on templates but can be modified.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal staff and public on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs (use for most positions except where noted on spreadsheet).
Weekly schedule includes Saturday hours (include if appropriate).
