Manager – Accounting
MRPR is a Full-Service Accounting & Business Advisory Firm serving the business community since 1974, and we are looking for a Manager with strong accounting experience and proficiency with QuickBooks to join our team. This is a long-term leadership position of MRPR requiring ethical practice and compatibility with and support of MRPR’s culture.

Responsibilities:
- LMA (Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable): Lead, manage, and hold self and others accountable in line with MRPR Core Values.
- Own the client engagement: Manage engagements; build long-term relationships; understand client’s culture and business; and structure teams to meet client expectations.
- Complete technical oversight: Experience in accounting systems, controls, and implementations/conversions of software; supervise the work of others; and knowledge and application of firm systems and processes.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities: Identify opportunities with existing clients; develop new client contacts; and engage in networking activities to drive growth.
- Team career development: Promote a learning environment; guide, support, and coach team members; build empowered, diverse teams; and develop career path for growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent; Master's in accounting is a plus.
- CPA certification or Enrolled Agent credential is preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in public accounting and/or industry.
- Strong accounting background; including payroll and account reconciliations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required; working knowledge of Sage is a plus.
- Experience in accounting software implementation and conversions.
- Skilled in building client relationships and delivering quality accounting and advisory services.
- Supervisory, training, and leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of tax compliance software (Axcess Tax or comparable) is preferred, Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat.
