Position Summary
Great Hearts Texas Human Resources Information System Analyst (HRIS) position will maintain the integrity and reliability of the organizations HRIS, ensuring applications meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the HR department and organization. The ideal HRIS analyst will translate business objectives and user needs into clearly written technical requirements. Our Analyst will use their expert communication skills to work with finance, HR, payroll, benefits, and the front line to originate business objectives and implement those requirements into the HRIS platform. As a Human Resources Information Systems Analyst (HRIS) for Great Hearts Texas, you will serve as the point of contact for questions regarding the HRIS. This position will play a vital role in managing and supporting the organization’s HRIS platform.
Responsibilities
The Workday HRIS Analyst is responsible for the support and maintenance of the Workday Human Capital Management system.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Payroll/Benefits, and functional business leaders to define and develop requirements, re-engineer current processes, and implement new functionality in Workday.
- Develop and maintain documentation of HR systems business processes.
- Develop training document related to Workday updates.
- Manage relationship with 3rd party vendor providing Workday support.
- This position serves as a point of contact and subject matter expert for functional areas within the HCM system, including Core HR, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Security, and Business Processes.
- The HRIS Analyst also supports HCM upgrades, patches, testing, and other technical projects as assigned.
- Oversee the daily operation of our Workday HRIS solution.
- Diagnose and resolve issues (end-user, business process, security, etc.).
- Develop and maintain simple to complex custom Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) using Workday Report Writer.
- Run and distribute scheduled reports and support business requests for ad hoc report generation.
- Monitor and support inbound/outbound Workday HCM integrations to third party vendors including payroll and benefits providers.
- Develop test plans and project plans for upgrades/new functionality.
- Develop data upload templates to support business needs and perform uploads into Workday as needed (EIB).
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with Workday is a must.
- Experience in working in an agile delivery environment.
- IT project analysis and management skills.
- Troubleshooting and Process Improvement.
- Must understand the system development lifecycle process.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Human Resources experience and a vast understanding of HRIS platforms.
- Ability to work interdependent and as part of a team.
- Good communicator and organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s (or master’s) degree in Information Technology, computer sciences, or related fields.
- Five to seven plus years of HRIS/HR system support experience required.
- Three to five years of Workday HRIS integration and configuration experience.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with strong knowledge of Excel.
- Human Resource Information Professional Certification (HRIP) Preferred.
