Position highlights
As a Crime Analyst, you will work on projects related to criminal activity, critical infrastructure, and cyber-related incidents.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with identification of statewide and regional crime trends;
- Assisting in law enforcement working groups;
- Creating analytical products to assist with combating criminal and terroristic threats.
This is a full-time, 40-hour position. This role has on-call requirements shared with other analysts and Connecticut Intelligence Center staff. This is a hybrid position with required in-office days.

DEMHS is charged with developing, administering, and coordinating a comprehensive and integrated statewide emergency management and homeland security program.
Qualifications & Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - General Experience
Six (6) years of professional experience in the collection, integration, evaluation and analysis of criminal/terrorism information and/or intelligence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Substitutions Allowed
- College training may be substituted for the General Experience.
- A Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence Management, Law Enforcement, Political Science, Forensic Science or closely related field may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
- Successful completion of a Connecticut Careers Trainee program approved by the Department of Administrative Services may be substituted for the General Experience.
